Anatomy Art Exhibition: What the eye cannot see

For the ninth year running, The Gordon Museum and the Anatomy  Department are collaborating to present their annual open art and science exhibition.

The exhibition runs from November 19 to December 3 and is open to staff and students to both visit and contribute entries.

Pioneering cine-biology digitised by Wellcome

Early time-lapse movies from the laboratory of Michael Abercrombie have been digitised by the Wellcome Library. Watch  here and read an account of these pioneering adventures in cine-biology by Dr Brian Stramer. Professor Gareth Jones, also of the Anatomy Department, is Chair of the Abercrombie Trust Fund

Craft Council and Anatomy: Parallel Practices at Anatomy


Two artists in residence have joined the Anatomy department as part Parallel Practices - a collaborative initiative from the Crafts Council and King's Cultural Institute. Anatomy is hosting textile artist Celia Pym and ceramicist Tamsin van Essen.

Residencies will run until the end of 2014

Fractured Visions at King's

Fractured Visions: To See Again is a virtual reality installation by Tamiko Thiel and produced by AXNS collective at Guy's Campus, sponsored by Anatomy. AXNS science curator Cosima Gretton is a current medical student at King's.
